This is the secret to a gorgeous vase. Place the riser in the bottom of the vase, and fill vase with desired items (works best with opaque items such as petals, sand, etc). Place pillar candle on top of riser. Now the candle will sit at a much higher position in the vase, creating a visually appealing work of art.
