Here are some of the most common questions we get asked regarding:
"How long can I keep my event rental order?"
We know you’re busy getting ready before your event and cleaning up after. That’s why Special Event Rentals lets you pick-up your order a day or two before your event and return them the next day, at no additional charge. For example, if your event is taking place on a Saturday, you can pick up on Thursday or Friday, and return on Monday. If you’re renting for an out-of-town event we are even more flexible.
"When do I need to book my event rentals?"
Everything is subject to availability so we suggest you book as soon as you know what you need. For a summer wedding, we suggest booking by April but if you just need some extra tables and chairs for a last-minute gathering you can order and pick up the same day.
"What do I need to make a booking?"
50% down payment is required to secure your booking and a valid credit card on file for security purposes with the remaining balance due on delivery or pickup.
"Are there half day rental rates?"
No, all rentals begin with one day rates.
"What if my event is more than a one day event?"
All our rates for extended rentals are prorated with each additional day charged at only a portion of the initial day’s rentals! Please inquire for extended rental rates.
"Do you offer delivery services?"
We certainly do offer delivery to your event location. Delivery and pick-up rates start at $99 each way within Edmonton for an all day window. That means we can delivery anytime between 8:30am and 5pm. Let us know if you need a more specific time frame for delivery and we can provide an accurate quote. We charge by the km for deliveries outside of Edmonton, so if you provide us with the venue location we can get you the price for delivery and pick-up.
"What if my venue needs all the rentals out immediately after my event?"
Good news, we offer late-night event rental pick-up. There are additional charges for this late-night service so check with your venue to see if we can pick up early the next morning as some may allow that.
"Do I need to pick-up my order myself?"
You don’t need to personally come to pick up your order, but we ask that whoever is picking up for you knows the name the order is under and presents a valid driver’s license for identification. This information will be recorded and then deleted once the order has been returned.
"What if my event is out of the city limits or province?"
No problem! We can make special arrangements to have items delivered and/or picked up by our crew, transported or shipped. Please contact us for of the most economical method.
"Is the rental rate per day or can I pick up early at no extra charge?"
Normally on weekends customers can pick up on Friday and return their rentals on the next business day and be only charged a one day rate. Special arrangements can be made for earlier pickups for out of town events, etc.
"Are you open on Sundays?"
Our showroom is closed, but in the summer months the warehouse is open for customer returns on Sundays from noon to 4pm. Just head to the south side of our building at 6010 99 St NW, Edmonton and our staff will be waiting to help you unload your rental order.
"Do I need to clean my rental items before I return them?"
The answer is NO for most items. Just put the items back in the containers they arrived in and we will take care of the cleaning. Some exceptions are:
- DINNERWARE, we ask you to empty glasses and scrape plates of any large food waste but they don’t need to be spotless.
- GOLD CUTLERY needs to be rinsed to prevent corrosion.
- LINENS should be shaken free of any food and dry before packing up to prevent mildew.
- CONCESSION & CATERING EQUIPMENT should be emptied of any excess food and wiped down
"What happens if I return the equipment late?"
Returning equipment late deprives other customers the use of that rental equipment, so you will be charged for each additional day.
"Does the linen need to be washed when I return it?"
No, simply shake the linen out and return it in any containers that were provided for the linen. DO NOT put wet linen in plastic bags or containers as this will cause mold to grow in a matter of hours and destroy the linen.

"What if I don’t see the items I require on your website?"
We are constantly getting new items so if you don’t see what you are looking for, just ask. If we don’t have it, we will do our best to source your items for you.
